Elephant    India    Elephant

India- was always for us a fairyland. All about this county we knew from the cinema and TV. The great dream of Erhard was it, to see the famous Taj Mahal by himself. In March 1994 it became true, we booked “the passage to India”. We prepared us well for this exotic journey, read the usual travel guides and the novel "La cite´ de la joie" from Dominique Lapierre. We thought, we were very good prepared for the poor India, too. But it was not enough. It was very very extremely what we experienced. Without our friends, Hannelore and Helmut, we were lost in this misery. Both are travel experts and helped us so much. But after the first shock, the fascination of India caught us Unfortunately we had never enough time to process all the different impressions, because we travelled by travel-group and the schedule was always very strong. It was stress! This was the reason why this was our last organized journey. From this time we planned our routes by ourselves. It is our dream to go to India individually again, during the next few years.
