Thailand, the kingdom of Siam is renowned for the friendliness and hospitality to strangers. You can find the “country of the smile” here nearly everywhere. Thailand fulfils all dreams of holidaymaking. Lonely islands, white sandy beaches, coconut trees and the clear blue sea are warranty for best vacation. But the country offers much more than this and it is a great pity to visit Thailand only for beach holidays. Splendid temples and sunk ruin places as well as the fantastic landscape of the north, with its mysterious jungle paths were for us the contrast to the noisy large cities and tourist centres. Thailand is formed by the Buddhism, the dominant religion. Orange-robed monks, gold, marble and stone Buddhas are common sights and you can see it everywhere. Bangkok, the bustling capital at the Chao Phraya, fascinated us as well as the rustic Thailand with its gentle beauty. From the first time on, Thailand has fascinated us very very much, so that we visited the country again for several times.
