Brisbane

Brisbane,
the capital of Queensland, 1-hour flight time far from Cairns was our last
station on our journey through Australia.

We
liked Brisbane very well. It is a nice, “little big city” at the Brisbane
River with beautiful parks, pedestrian precincts and a special kind of suburb
traffic, the “City Cat". You can reach the city quarters comfortably on
that water routes. It is a special pleasure for all.

Brisbane
is also the ideal starting point for trips to the Gold Coast or to Surfers
Paradise. We rent a car and went along the greatly coast to Noosa, a beautiful
holiday place, which is very popular by gourmets. Unfortunately it drizzled
again and again during our trip, so that we saw not the charm of the Gold Coast
as well.

During our
second Trip to Surfers Paradise, the sun was shining. There are many skyscrapers, apartment
stores, Fast food
restaurants, shopping malls and so on.
Japanese people are the most tourists here in this holiday place. The
excellent surfing beach and headlands are famous to board riders all over the
world.
