Bangkok Biking
A Bike
trip through Bangkok belonged probably to the most unusual things which you can
do in this city.

An article in our
german newspaper about this tours made attentive us on it and because we already
have so much seen during our many stays in Bangkok we decided to make this
cycling trip by our next Bangkok stop over.
The tour is called
“THE COLORS OF BANGKOK " and is a 4-5 hour bicycling tour, and this slogan was
more than true.
On good bikes we
went nearly 30 km trough the other Bangkok. Past at a small sweatshop making
factory, Pagodas, Wats, a local elementary school and also slum houses.
A short boat trip across the Chao Praya river in a longtail boat, took us to the
greenest area of Bangkok. On small paths we rode trough the Jungle and on wobbly
bars we past on buildings of stakes.
Everywhere the
people smiled friendly and were pleased about this crazy bikers, although we
drove partly directly through their living rooms and kitchens.
Here in this part of
Bangkok you can find nothing from the hectic of the large city, although the
distance to the bustling Silom Road is only 5 km.
It was a
fascinating, extraordinary experience for us and we are sure that there's no
better way to touch, smell and see the actual life of Bangkok. We can only
recommend it!
